Anyone see the new trailer for a new Metal Gear Solid game? I knew it wouldn't be as good as a Kojima made Metal Gear, but fucking wormholes and zombies? Pathetic. I wouldn't be opposed to buying a non-Kojima Metal Gear game since I'm sure a lot of the people working on them will be former workers of the older games, but never for something this stupid and bizarre. The video footage looked like current crappy Resident Evil games.

I saw it but I'm so disillusioned with that series by now it didn't really register much on my radar haha.

The PS+ "free" game offerings get worse, we have the same lackluster online experience and Sony ups the subscription price. UGH!!!

If they do this and give us the same kinds of games we've been getting ever since the PS4 launched, I'm done paying for Plus. My PS4 barely works online anyways.

Do you need Plus for online in games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls?

The price change makes it $70 here. XBL is still $60. I understand that our dollar sucks but Sony isn't even trying to compete with Microsoft price-wise up here.

So there's a report that my theory on those NX detachable controllers having motion sensors was right if all these rumors end up being true. I really just want to see this thing already.

The comparisons to the vibration of the Vive controller are interesting. They use the same thing as the Steam Controller from what I understand and that feels great for the gyro controls. It was sorely missed when I played the Splatoon test fire demo a few days ago, as was a button to hold to activate the gyro.

Well that presentation gave me zero desire to get a PS4 Pro. Which is honestly what I'd prefer, so I guess that's a plus!

Same here. PS4 is my least favorite console this gen anyways, only reason I hold onto it is for exclusives. If I want more power I have my PC here.

I'll probably bite on PS4 Pro at some point, and if my current PS4 bites the dust, which it shows no sign of doing, I'll probably replace it with a Pro.

No need for me to get one now, but maybe someday I'll get one. The only reason I'd buy another PS4 right now is just for a bigger hard drive, and I'd like something bigger than a TB.

Yeah they made it seem pretty pointless unless you have a 4K TV, which is still a tiny portion of the market. I expected more. If it cranks up the framerate more in some of the less reliable games, that would be nice. Though knowing AAA developers they might just shove in more effects and prevent that

All I really wanted out of this was a price drop for the plain model, and it looks like I got my wish there. Maybe I'll be able to find a used one at under $300 soon

I already have a 2TB hard drive in my PS4 and mine performs just fine right now and I don't really care about all the 4K and UHD stuff so I probably wouldn't upgrade unless my current PS4 ever dies.

I remember the PS4 upgrade being relatively easy. The only problem I had was I had to download a specific firmware to get the hard drive to work, but I missed that part so it took me banging my head against the wall for a few minutes before I figured it out.

The Xbox One and Wii U can use external drives which is as simple as plugging it in to a USB port. Way, way easier.

Shouldn't be much risk as long as they didn't make it like the Ps3, where the screws you need to use to install the drive are made of putty.

I still have my original 500GB drive in my PS4. It's perpetually at 80% full since I buy most of my games on disc. A lot of them still have big-ass install files though. I guess I ought to upgrade at some point.

For my Wii U I have an old 80GB internal HDD that I got an enclosure for to convert it to an external drive. Yeah, it's weird. It works, though, and it's not like anything on Wii U was demanding in terms of storage. Smile

I listened to the Final Fantasy XV live concert they've put up online for free and...it kind of confirms how I feel about hte production as a whole. It's bigger...it's got more STUFF...but the music is OK. No strong melodies, no innovation from a composer who's more than capable of it.

Who is the composer? Musically Final Fantasy games haven't interested me since X, and even parts of that game had songs that I didn't like. Probably the ones Uematsu didn't write.

I can't believe the NX hasn't been revealed yet. Supposedly releasing in March (based on shareholder meeting info not just rumors), so yeah surprised. I'd just really like to see this thing too of course.

Yeah, I'm surprised but not shocked. Seems Nintendo is trying to get this console out without a lot of time for hype maybe?

Not sure what the strategy is, honestly.

Smach Z Kickstarter is up. It's basically a handheld that plays Steam games. Don't think I'm gonna back it just in case there's huge bumps down the road (it is Kickstarter), but if things stay smooth I'm definitely picking up one at launch

Cool idea. I really like some of the control options they have too. Seems like it will be rather expensive and big. I don't really play handhelds much these days though. I mean sure part of that is lack of compelling games for the ones I have, but part of it is a gaming lifestyle change so to speak. There was a time when being able to play games on a handheld that I could play on my big screen was appealing, but not so much anymore.

I still love handhelds and am drooling over the idea of playing both Kotors, Jade Empire, Resident Evil 4, Civ, and Fallout on this thing. Think it's also cool that they're making an option for gamers who want to play Steam games, but don't like PC gaming

Having an issue with Mass Effect. It won't load my save. Says:

"Selected Save Game could not be loaded. Downloadable Content missing from Xbox. Module(s) in question: Bring Down the Sky [ENPLES]"

It seems that content was installed on my Xbox when I first installed the game. It appears when I go to manage game. Anyway, thought you might know what my problem is Casey, so I thought I'd post it here. Any clue? I'm guessing you haven't had any need to play this on Xbox One, so probably not.

No, haven't heard of any issues with it, sorry. Maybe try uninstalling then reinstalling it? Or if not just uninstalling then going back to an older save file. BDTS isn't pretty important, it's big moment in 3 plays almost exactly the same out whether you do it or not, and even then it's just a side quest. Plus it's very Mako heavy which I know you're not a fan of and I only really do it because I want ME to last as long as possible and it has some good loot.
