Favorite Intro Credit Sequences

Post by TripOpt55 on Wed Aug 10, 2016 10:21 pm

These seem to be happening more recently in games. I thought Uncharted 4's was really cool, so much so that I bought the PS4 theme based on it. Tales from the Borderlands had great ones too. After the second ep's (mild spoilers there I guess?) which is still my favorite from the series I ended up looking forward to seeing what each new episode's would be like. The fourth and fifth ones definitely gave the second one a run for its money. I know MGS has some pretty elaborate ones from what I recall. What are your favorite opening credit sequences?

I liked Deus Ex: Human Revolution's. How it goes from that gameplay moment straight into it and has all that cool imagery and that song. In fact, I'm probably remembering it as better than it is because the song was so cool.

Uncharted 4's was good too.

I really like the one in Mass Effect 2, not too many credits but the way it starts off with quite the insane plot twist then title before the game really starts is neat. Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is also great for its use of "Here's to You."

Arkham Asylum has a neat one with you just following the Joker being wheeled while he's laughing his ass off knowing something will go wrong soon. Pretty similar to Deus Ex, but prefer it because it has the Joker.

Final Fantasy VI has a great intro credit sequence. And that was a SNES game.

I think the one that stands out the most to me in recent games is any of the episodes to Tales from the Borderlands. They made a lot of really good music choices too that added to it.
