Hey guys. E3 is here! Let us know what you think of the conferences and announcements as they happen.
Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
Doom 4 and Fallout 4. Yes, Bethesda is really making me happy.

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
I only caught bits and pieces of Bethesda's, but I thought Doom looked excellent. The Dishonored 2 trailer was cool. And there was a lot of things that seemed neat about Fallout 4. The app being out tonight seemed cool too.
Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
Yeah, it sounds like they're taking inspiration from Minecraft of all things for Fallout 4, which if implemented right could make for a game with some serious legs, even by Bethesda standards. Doom looked stupid, gory, and violent and I loved every second of that.

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
Much hype for Fallout 4. The world and the gameplay mechanics look great. I only wish they'd make nicer character models for the player character, but that's a complaint I have with Western RPGs across the board, and it's a very, very minor one at that. I'm thinking of taking November 10-11 as paid holidays to play it. Haven't taken PTO for a game release since Final Fantasy XII.

I'm gonna go with a few I guess
New Conker
New Star Fox
New Metroid
Uncharted season pass announced, includes MP and a single player DLC
FFXII/XIII remaster (depending on whether Square wants to please or piss everyone off)

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
I thought Microsoft's was okay. My favorite new game was Recore. Looked cool, but was just a CG trailer, so who knows. The Rare Replay thing sounds awesome. The online pirate game doesn't seem like my thing, but there are a bunch in the collection I have never played, so I am looking forward to it.
Tomb Raider's demo looked like a typical setpiece from the new game, but I liked some of the scenes shown in the montage that followed. Looked like more of what I want from the locations.
Backwards compatibility is great since my 360 died. I still have some I never finished on there, so that is a nice selling point for me. I have planned to get an Xbone this fall, but little things like this help.
Ashen, Cuphead and the new Gears are other games I am interested in. I think showing Scalebound and Crackdown would have helped their conference though.

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
EA was expectedly a drag at times, but I liked what I saw of Mirror's Edge and Unraveled. Hoping we see a full on demo of Mirror's Edge so I get a better idea of the level design within the larger world. Unraveled was a nice surprise from EA. And it looked like a better version of the sort of 2D cinematic platformers like Limbo and things like that.
Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
The only thing that impressed me with MS's conference was the addition of 360 BC, and that's more because I hope it will induce Sony to do the same (doubtful, I suppose, since Sony wants to push PSNow). Other than Tales of Vesperia, there isn't a 360 game I have a real burning desire to replay.
So far, Fallout 4 is still the frontrunner for me. Waiting to see what Nintendo, Sony, Bandai Namco, and Square Enix have on tap.

Ubisoft was pretty meh. I think South Park was cool because it was a surprise. Ghost Recon looks too much like their other games now. For Honor is a neat concept, but I don't really get into online games often.

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
Sony's conference was so good. Short of Half-Life 3, they couldn't have done much better. Horizon is my favorite game of the show so far. I loved everything about that trailer
Also caught a bit of MS. None of the games blew me away (Cuphead looks great but not super exciting) but hololens looked like a really cool piece of technology. I hope it gets used well. Backwards compatibility and Fallout 4 mods were surprising, too.

Horizon did look pretty good. I'm otherwise not a fan of Guerilla Games, so this might be their first game that I get. Sony is winning E3 so far in my book just on FF7 alone.
Fallout 4 mods are coming to PS4 as well, so us PS4 gamers can have our nude female models too, LOL.
Now all I'm waiting on are Nintendo, Namco, and Atlus, and I'm good.

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
Wow that was great. The Last Guardian, Horizon, the Media Molecule game and Uncharted 4 were very cool from first party devs which I was waiting to see show stuff on PS4. Plus while not for me I can see why Shenmue 3 and FF7 are cool announcements.
Horizon looked even cooler than I imagined. That one really surprised me the most with how great it looked. So much more interesting than Killzone to me at least.

Of course I work long and late on this day and miss all the big press conferences. My Monday should run backwards into a field of dicks.

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
The one thing that kind of disappointed me with Sony was the lack of Persona 5. With their fall release schedule being a bit skimpy this year, I'd like for Sony to make Persona 5 a headline title for the PS4/PS3, just like they did for Final Fantasy VII back in 1997. From Square Enix I wanted to see more of Dragon Quest Heroes.
I wonder if NISA and Xseed have E3 booths? NISA should have Disgaea 5 and Xseed just announced a buttload of Nihon Falcom localizations. I want to see those.

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
Same here. I was really expecting to at least see the english version of the Persona 5 reveal. It's not Uncharted 4 but it's a sure system seller for fans of the series, and it's pretty much inimitable if you ask me. Oh well. We'll definitely hear something about it.

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
So funny story: I got off work and Kay and a few others were telling me how FFVII remake is real, Shenmue 3 was announced, Sony showed something on The Last Guardian, Black Ops 3 looked amazing, and (most ridiculous of all) they didn't ignore the Vita. So I had to think they were pulling my leg and when I finally got the time to check out news.......

Dude Black Ops 3 looks like a ton of fun it wont be my GOTY or anything but damn the power wheel, parkour and fucking robots man i might just preorder it
im not going to go crazy and get the really expensive CE like i did with Fallout 4 (THAT FUCKING PIP BOY) but it definetly looks like its worth the price of the standard edition
Beyond the FFVII remake which im pretty hype for myself the Rare collection stole the rest of the show for me. ALL THOSE AMAZING GAMES MICROSOFT JUST LEFT TO DIE BACK ON ONE DISC FOR 30 DOLLARS MY GOD
SFV looks great too and fucking Mother 1 in english. New Asscreed looks good but i dont trust ubi to make it playable right off the bat
in other new ROY'S OUR BOY

What happened to Level-5's PS4 game? Did they somehow show that and I missed it?

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
They probably just changed their mind about announcing it. Like I said when I posted that news, it was from last Fall. A lot of plans can change in that time.
Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
Nintendo's felt like a real miss for me. I will get that Zelda game. I am still looking forward to Mario Maker and Yoshi, but I didn't need much more info on them than I knew before. I might check out Mario Tennis.
Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
Nintendo's conference wasn't great, I'm not particularly interested in anything shown except for Star Fox Zero and probably the Zelda game (looks like a Four Swords game, and I skipped that one), but I've seen worse from them, and from MS and Sony as well. Games like Zelda, X, and SMT x FE are still coming. It's hilarious and pathetic how NeoGAF's forums are practically slitting their wrists or acting like they found out their significant others have been having sex with other people in their beds for the past five years. People need to get a fucking grip!

Re: E3 2015 Discussion Thread
For the record, Sony's E3 was awesome, but all the games I want from it, namely Shenmue, FF7, and (maybe) Horizon are years away, and hopefully those projects won't get fucked up between now and 2016-2017. In the meantime, I have Tales, Persona, and Fallout to keep me going on PS4.
