DVDs/Blu Rays etc. - Deals and Discussion
I realized we had an anticipated thread and a streaming thread but not one to discuss good deals on DVDs/Blu Rays and whatnot.
So in this thread post up any good deals you've found or to discuss/ask questions about the quality of a given release.
I think I've bought Cowboy Bebop twice now (once when it first came out, once when they released the 5.1 remaster) and I'm considering buying the Blu Ray series box while it still exists. Not too bad though $35 for the whole 26 episodes.
Besides amazon, where do you guys buy your DVDs/Blu Rays from?

Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble (sometimes) and a local franchise named Vintage Stock.

Has anyone had any experience buying Criterion Collection stuff directly from them or is it always prohibitively expensive?

I almost bought the entire series of Entourage on blu-ray used today at a really cool store, but they couldn't find the insides. Would have gotten it for $70. I usually don't buy stuff like that used, but it typically goes for $150-$200, and blu-rays are hard to scratch. Used usually go for the same price as new. I was sad. Great show for those that have never watched it.

They tend to have flash sales a few times a year and I sometimes jump on those. I had a fine experience with their website.

I don't mind used stuff if it's coming from the right store. Because if it's a good store and it doesn't work they always give you your money back.
Amazon's wishlist is evil though. They added that feature that says "This is __% cheaper than when you added it" and it tricks me into buying stuff every time.
