mBretBaber wrote:I have faith it will come to the PS3 as well. I thought about it, and I'm not going to pay the $15 they'll probably charge for it. Sure the game looks kind of crappy on my big TV, but I don't want to play 10 hours worth of a game again just for it to be clearer and for some trophies. The reason I bought this game in the first place is to finally play it, and to play it before I get GTAV for Christmas. That would just put me really far behind.
Sucks doesn't it Chris? I think the same thing happened with God of War 2. I played and beat 1, and liked it so I got 2. Not long after they announced the HD remake. I was in full blown trophy mode though so I shelled out the cash for some digital glory.
I still have the originals of almost every HD remake I've ever bought, which includes Wind Waker HD, FFX HD, Okami HD, and Tales of Symphonia HD. I also bought Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix HD, but that's one of the few exceptions. My original KH game was gone and I'd been meaning to replace it at Vintage Stock anyway. Then the HD remake came out and saved me the trouble.

I can never thank Nintendo enough for pulling this one out of the fire. They did good, really good.
Re: Now Playing
Either of you two think it was really bizarre to see both Nintendo and Sega on the opening credits? I mean, seeing Sega stuff on Ninty is one thing, but together for one game was a whole other level. Especially considering how out of Nintendo's wheelhouse this game is.

Re: Now Playing
i think its fitting considering this games development and the fact that it even exists is bizarre on its own.
Bayonetta 2 is a true Christmas miracle.
My favorite part of the game so far is chapter XI easily the cutscenes and boss fight are really really amazing also i got a platinum on my first try

Re: Now Playing
I went back and did Korra on Extreme. It is actually easier with everything powered up plus some Talismans. Only parts that were harder were the Naga boss fight and the final boss fight though I may have just been impatient with the last one.
I have a few trophies to clean up. Pretty close to the platinum, so I may go for it.

Nah, just ignore that platinum. You don't need it.

Apparently I didn't get the trophy for doing all the tutorials... even though I beat the game twice, so it seems glitched. I guess no platinum for me
Re: Now Playing
When games are glitches it really chafes my chops. Especially when they don't release patches to fix them. I started God of War 2 on my Vita and none of the trophies were popping, and after some investigation apparently a lot of people have problems with them unlocking. The game has been out for a while now and still no patches? Unacceptable.
Sorry for your loss, Trip. Just do some online research you may find a fix.

Meh. I thought it was fitting, to be honest. I was alive to see the big 16-bit ad wars between Sega and Nintendo, and the playground arguments over them. But Sega's been out of the console-making business so long I didn't bat an eye. What floors me more is a Nintendo-published game with gratuitous F-bombs. Enzo's (the dude who sounds like Joe Pesci) drawn-out "mo-ther-FUCK-ER!" is hilarious. Nintendo has published M-rated games before but nothing quite like this, keep in mind that I skipped over Conker's BFD on N64.
Truth be told, I'd like to see Nintendo pick up more Sega stuff like Yakuza.

Re: Now Playing
I've been telling myself I will get better at Killzone - Mercenary. KZ2-4 I've been pretty amazing at, next to FIFA they are the games I'm best at. However, I suck at this game. After repeatedly dying again and again online, I bought the botzone option for $2.50 and I can say that it has definitely improved my game. Haven't tried tackling Warzone (my favorite mode), but I have won first 3 times on free for all and came in second once out of my 4 matches. Warzone is where I long to be better at, so let's hope I can improve there as well. This is really a fantastic online game for a handheld, and it seems like there are still quite a few people that play the game so that's a good thing.

Re: Now Playing
Just finished Crysis. The final third is so bad for so many reasons. They had such a great game going (would've been in my top 5 shooters of last generation) and then they go and abandon every single thing that makes it work. Not only that but it's somehow glitchier despite being so much more restrictive. It's as though they ran out of money and paid amateurs to finish the game.
Also, I sometimes complain about Bioshock Infinite copping out by telling 2 half stories, but at least there something interesting comes out of it. This is like they tacked a totally seperate story onto the end of another just to make the game longer. The second the alien combat starts, they completely drop the korea plot and neither of those plots ever really go anywhere in the first place. Just throw in a few more levels to let me shoot more dudes and call it a game. No need to get fancy
Anyway it's up there with LA Noire in terms of game ruining antics. But at least the first 5 hours are worth replaying

ironically the N64 original version was completely unedited, while the Xbox Live and Reloaded remake had stuff like "fuck" and "shit" beeped out like on network television.
The original Bayonetta has aged a little bit, but its still pretty great. I'm finding that i kind of suck at it though that could be because im used to the different movesets, and added features in 2
Re: Now Playing
Bayonetta 2 is so damn good. I can't believe this game almost didn't happen. I will love Nintendo forever and ever.

Re: Now Playing
Started up Hyrule Warriors. Had no idea what I was doing when I started, but it seems alright so far.
Re: Now Playing
At this point, unless something coming out at the end of the year is really, REALLY fucking good, Bayonetta 2 may have my GOTY nod. And I don't see anything coming before December 31 that's going to be really, REALLY fucking good. Edit: Except maybe Smash.

I enjoyed Hyrule Warriors. It's just clearing out hordes of enemies and bosses and securing strategic points on the battlefields. Probably my favorite Musou game ever.

Re: Now Playing
I know I've said it before a lot that Drakengard 3 was my favorite game, but holy hell Bayonetta 2 might even overtake it. It's honestly as close to perfect that a game can get imo. I will replay them both before i decide.
Hyrule Warriors is also great does Musou better than the main series games imo. The expanded budget nintendo gave them was a big help really excited for more of the DLC

It looks really good =/. Shame I don't have any intention of buying a Wii U (not because it's bad...money!)

Re: Now Playing
Some weird stuff happened with Gamefly. I stack my queue in a certain way to try and get games on release day, but they pushed Bayonetta 2's release date to today and then sent me Hyrule Warriors on Saturday. So I didn't have a slot open anymore. Anyway, I sent back Smash Bros. yesterday and they shipped Bayo 2 out with fast return. I guess I'm saying this worked out way better than I expected. I thought I may have missed the release window for Bayo (I find it easier to rent stuff right at release than the days or week after where supply seems low). So yay!

I'm about to start up Costume Quest 2. The world seems okay to me.

Re: Now Playing
Only played a little bit, but it seems almost exactly like the first one with some combat improvements. So if you liked the first, you'd probably like the second.

Re: Now Playing
I also started up Costume Quest 2. It seems to be pretty similar to the first. I love having the Candy Corn in my party. It's 'action' dialogue is hilarious and there is a trophy for keeping it in your party the whole game so I'm gonna go for it... because I want to see all the goofy stuff it says! I'm still in the first area, but so far I'm really liking it!

Re: Now Playing
I only got to play it for 15 minutes, but that was long enough to see that it was very similar to the first game. I was debating on going for the candy corn trophy on the first play. Might make the game harder so I might do it.

I was going to pass on Costume Quest 2 but I think I will regret that decision once Halloween is over. So conflicted... >_>
