I GOT A JOB. I FINALLY GOT A FUCKING JOB. It's at an apprenticeship at Wayland Games doing the business and data entry side of it, local too. Went for the interview today, really liked the place and the people.

"We'll let you know later this week."
LATER THIS WEEK? MORE LIKE LATER TODAY. Just got a phonecall from the place that put up the apprenticeship.

"So how do you think the interview went?"
"Err. Pretty good, I think."
"Well they've said the want to offer you the placement if you're still interested."
"OH MY GOD. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! YES. YES."
"Haha, wow. Nice to see you so enthusiastic about it."

I am SO fucking happy right now. Start on Monday. So happy.

I usually wake up at 7AM, but I don't really go online. I usually check the forum on my phone during breakfast, but wait to post anything until I get on my computer later.

The camp actually, despite my misgivings, ended up being a really really good time. I thought the teachers who were there would be super stiff but everyone was laid back and we just ended up joking around (working very hard as well) and getting paid lots of OT. So...yay?

I was thinking about creating a new Topic where we could buy, sell and/or trade things to each other, but I'm not sure if people would really be interested. I'm actually thinking about buying a new PS2 because my PS3 slim isn't backwards compatible, but... I don't know... I don't really feel like I'd go back and play my PS2 games anymore. :p

First week at work - Done.

Shit is cool. I work for a company that sells tabletop games like Warhammer/Infinity. Spend most of the day learning how to update the site and keep stock up-to-date and all that. It's good, I like it. The environment is nice to work in as well, like today we was all just sat there at our computers eating ice cream. Got another week until they decide if they want to keep me on, which I really hope they do.

Two of them took me out drinking in town with them tonight which I just got in from. Those kinda events always make me feel sad.

Has anyone ever cosplayed as anyone/thing from a game or a show before? I got a Halloween party next month for work, thinking of going as James Sunderland from the MASTERPIECE that is Silent Hill 2, seeing as I have neither the tits or ass to go as a SH Nurse, nor am I built like a truck to go as Pyramid Head.

Dude next to me is going as a Splicer from Bioshock, should be fun.

I haven't, but if I did I'd like to go as Commander Shepard. I look a bit like the default one and well, Mass Effect.

Oh, man! Speaking of Halloween! I've NEVER dressed up for Halloween except back in elementary school (maybe 3rd grade?), but this year I'm going to do it. I'm hoping to transform myself into an anthropomorphic Cheshire Cat. I just need to sew up a jacket/outfit that reflects that of the Evil Queen's father on Once Upon A Time. :)Then, I'm hoping my friends' Mom can do the make-up portion to make me look like the Cheshire Cat. If that doesn't work, I'm going to make a masquerade mask that I can wear on top of everything.

Words can't describe how stoked I am!! I might even invest in some teal/blue contact lenses.

Hoping to start doing Jack-O-Lanterns in early October this year, so I can do a few before Halloween. Already thinking about what I will tackle.

The other night was so awful, my beagle had a seizure while I was at work, and it was so bad my parents were considering having someone come over and euthanize him (which they told me over the phone so I was crying in the back room at fucking gamestop...). Luckily he's doing better now but he's still not quite himself. He's 12 years old so I'm not sure he'll be around much longer and it's a little depressing to say the least. Why must dogs live such short lives Sad

*hugs* I hope he gets better. I hope you feel better too. I'm here if you need anything.

The last cat I had got so sick before she died we had to force feed her and clean her, and pretty much do everything for her ourselves. She was suffering too, but my mother refused to let her go. I woke up one day to find her dead in our living room. Part of me is glad i haven't had a pet since I really dont want to relive that again ;~;. but lol its been like 6 years I should get over it.
