I'm going Chespin/Squirtle combo. Second run I'm doing Froakie/Bulbasaur. Third I'm making an all Fire team.

Re: Now Playing
So Citadel is pretty fucking awesome. It's kind of a Mass Effect parody within the Mass Effect universe, and it's really well done. The whole way through so far its been making jokes about the series.
This one is one of my favorites
Also EVERYTHING Wrex says is gold.

Re: Now Playing
I finished Puppeteer which I actually ended up really liking. Now I'm back to the Survivor + run I started a bit ago on The Last of Us. Still awesome. I do wish you actually started with all your weapons since it is New Game +. Not much actually carries over... just upgrades I think?
Re: Now Playing
Is The Last of Us on survivor+ super hard? I can only imagine it being super hard.

Feels the same as Survivor, but since you keep the upgrades maybe a bit easier.BretBaber wrote:Is The Last of Us on survivor+ super hard? Â I can only imagine it being super hard.
Well I was lumping player upgrades (player skills inceased with pills) and item upgrades (gotten via training manuals) together. Unless that isn't what you meant. Having beefed up shivs is sweet though.Kayshire Cat wrote:Upgrades and crafting recipes carry over
Re: Now Playing
That reminds me: Is the "safe yourself from a clicker with a shiv" upgrade totally broken in that game or was I just using it wrong? It never worked for me

Re: Now Playing
So I picked up Beyond. Was expecting mediocrity, but I made a deal with Neph where I'd get this game, and well, I honor my deal and Amazon will give me $60 for it if I spend the credit on a Dualshock 4, so no big deal.
So far based on the two, maybe two and a half hours I've played, I really, really do not like this game. It's already close to Resident Evil 6 levels of dislike. Let's hope it goes to Assassin's Creed 3 levels of hate so other people can at least get some entertainment out of this!

Re: Now Playing
Heavy Rain interested me because it had that noir feel and was a mystery thriller. Things I've seen from this game don't really gather any of my interest. Also, Willem Defoe is ugly as all hell.

Re: Now Playing
I want Beyond, but it just isnt worth full price to me. I'll get it when it hits 20 bucks
Re: Now Playing
Beyond is going to be a preowned purchase when I visit a friend so we can sit around laughing at how fucking shitty the writing is and how David Cage is a massive fucking twat.
David Cage has the right ideas when it comes to what games could be, and I agree with him a lot in his interviews, but he just doesn't know how to execute any of it correctly. I don't even have anything against the QTE gameplay (Wasn't hard enough in Heavy Rain though), it's just he spouts loads of shit that tears down every other game then writes some secondary school tier 'my emotions' tier bollocks and acts like he's some kind of genius. There's so many things that were wrong with Heavy Rain it's hard to even decide where to begin.
I've already seen him whining on Twitter about how people just can't appreciate it because it's not a shooter and how it's "Different" (after the whole initial 6/10 score from some site), yet games like The Walking Dead got endless praise so his arguments are complete bullshit. (Considering finally getting TWD on the weekend).
Thankfully he isn't Cliffy B tier level of twat. Pretty sure Cliffy B just transcends twat tier. Hate that guy so much.

Re: Now Playing
I am enjoying it and my 2DS a lot so far. Dont see what anyone's problem with the 2DS is. It runs as well as any 3DS does, and it actually will fit in my pockets. I usually wear cargo pants though.
