Parks and Recreation Discussion
Hey let's use this to discuss the latest Parks and Rec Season. Make sure you have seen the latest episode before reading this.
Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
I really enjoyed the premiere. I still don't think this show is quite as good as it was in late S2 and all of S3, but it still has some excellent episodes like this. Andy and the British guy were hilarious. Especially with Ben in tow to react to it all. The opening wedding thing was really funny and the end bit with the trip that Leslie sent Ron on was one of those great heartfelt moments that Parks always has.
The only part I thought was a bit much was Jerry going on about the milk. Dragged on a bit too long for me.

Andy and Ben made that episode to me. I'm not sure if Andy staying in Europe has anything to do with a movie Chris Pratt is in, but I would really love if they cut to Europe like how season 3 of The Office had Jim in Stamford.
I agree on Jerry too, but his other bit more than made up for it. I love how even when Jerry does something right he messes everything up.

Yeah I guess Chris Pratt is going to be gone for a while which is a bummer, but I have not looked into the specifics of the situation.
Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
I liked the Jerry and the milk thing. It was disgusting but funny.

Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
Anyone else think Leslie was too childish even by her standards that last episode?

She was pretty childish. I find her character to be my least favorite on the show, I'm probably the only one that thinks that though.

I did like her monocle joke though. Also Kristen Bell! Always a plus!
Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
Kristen Bell is probably your version of my Sarah Michelle Gellar, isn't she?

I won't tell anyone if you call her "Baby Girl." That's what SMG is to me ; )TripOpt55 wrote:Haha... yeah something like that.BretBaber wrote:Kristen Bell is probably your version of my Sarah Michelle Gellar, isn't she?

Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
Oh god Tatiana Maslany aka the best actress on television was on it last week. Give me an Anna Torv guest appearance later this year and I'm set.

Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
Highlight for me was April wanting to put all those question marks on stop signs. Why need guest stars when you have Aubrey Plaza?

Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
I definitely laughed out loud when she ran off with the question marks. That was awesome.
Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
The worst part of it means no more April/Anne and Ron/Chris plots. Though them and Tom are the only characters I'm really okay with letting go. Not that I don't like any of them, all the characters are great, but losing Ron or Andy would have a chance of getting me to stop watching.

Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
I was never a huge fan of Ann though she had some good storylines mostly being involved with others. Chris was actually pretty awesome, but still I think I'm okay with him leaving. You never know how this stuff will hurt the show going forward though. I definitely agree they were a couple of the easier characters to say goodbye to.
Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
The one character I wouldn't mind seeing going will never god and that's Leslie. She just gets on my nerves sometimes.
Anne and Chris better get ready for lots of snow because that's all Michigan is anymore. Plus, good luck getting a job! It'll be a shady start for their new life.

Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
What did you guys think of the time skip ending? I really liked that. Excited to see what they do with it next season.
Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
I thought it was a good idea. No one wants to see a whole season of pregnant Leslie, or super tired Leslie and Ben, because of 3 screaming babies. It also leaves the opportunity for some funny flashbacks to help bridge the gap. I thought the finale to that episode was amazing. Hopefully this the shot in the arm this show needed. It kind of seemed like it was idling the past season or two.

Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
That is exactly how I feel. The show has still been good, but not as good as it used to be. Feels like they have been coasting along for a while, and I'm hopeful this will be the a shot in the arm it needs as you put it.
Re: Parks and Recreation Discussion
I pretty much agree with both of you. Also liked how they were yelling at Terry now.
